My research involves visually representing sound and music. I’m currently developing a public art series of immersive animated listening environments synced to each of the four preludes in Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle operas. These animations involve many processes; painting on video frame by frame, stop-motion techniques incorporating both traditional and non-traditional art materials including cotton, corn syrup, paper structures, greenscreen, wires, glues, colloidal suspensions, and milk. |
